Race2Learn President with Kim Crosby in Fontana
Atlanta, GA -- September 3, 2005 – This weekend at the California Speedway in Fontana, CA, NASCAR Busch Series driver Kim Crosby will be celebrating her endorsement of Race2Learn with founder and president, Cynthia Campagnale. Race2learn will be catering a party for the Keith Coleman Race team to show their support for their favorite teacher and race car driver, Kim Crosby, driver of the #26 Vassarette Chevrolet.
Cynthia Campagnale founder and CEO for Race2learn had a vision for educational supplemental programs for the classroom, but needed a dedicated teacher to bring this dream to fruition. When Kim Crosby told Cynthia she was a former principal and teacher, the idea was born. Kim stated in a phone conversation with a well known Educational company, "I am a teacher first and a race car driver second", little did she know that was the statement that would change their worlds forever.
As a former teacher and Jr. High School principal, Kim is using her educational expertise by contributing to the writing of lesson plans that will align with the poster series, bringing the science and math of racing to classrooms, with fun, interactive supplemental materials for K-12. “I am very please to have been chosen by Cynthia as a national spokesperson of Race2Learn” said Crosby. “I've really enjoyed writing the lesson plans and I look forward to working with the organization in the future. We are also trying to bring some other race teams and personalities to really connect with the kids."
Kim Crosby has endorsed Race2learn and is an active part of the company. Kim is
Ed Wright of Dave's Paint - a Glidden paint company, who holds the painting contract for the California Speedway, is catering and hosting the party for the team. Ed believes Kim Crosby can make a difference on the track as she did in her classrooms. We are all supporting our favorite "teacher and woman driver" this weekend. said Ed Wright of Glidden paint, "Despite the hardships she has encountered , Kim has taught us how to overcome them and continues to add value to our favorite motorsport, NASCAR."
Cynthia Campagnale and daughter, Emily Parotta thank the KCR team for supporting their efforts to make a difference in our schools.
