Tony Pedregon  Begins Nationals Weekend In 12th

MORRISON, Colo. (July 15, 2005) ­ Tony Pedregon and the Q Racing Nitro Funny
Car maneuvered his way into the 12th position to open this weekendıs
qualifying for the U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Pedregon, the 2003 NHRA POWERade Funny Car World Champion, drove to a
4.837-second elapsed time at 321.88 mph.

³It was a good start to the weekend,² Pedregon said. ³We have more in the
car, but we wanted to get some data and get down the track. Conditions were
good and weıll definitely be able to pick up it tomorrow.²
