Labor Day "Hales Corners Demolition Derby at The 'Mile" Returns Monday
 
September 2, 2005 (Milwaukee, Wis.) - This Monday afternoon, the Labor
Day tradition continues with a crash 'em, bash 'em good time, as the
"Hales Corners Demolition Derby at The 'Mile" takes place inside The
Milwaukee Mile speedway for the second straight year.
 
For the past four decades, this much-anticipated day of automotive
destruction was held at the now-closed Hales Corners Speedway in
Franklin.
 
Over 100 cars are expected to compete in a series of demolition derby
races beginning at 1:00pm to determine the feature event participants in
two divisions; one for lightweight cars and one for heavyweight cars.
Each feature winner can earn $1,000.00 for being the last car moving.

Pit gates open at 10:00 a.m., grandstands at 11:00 a.m., with the 'Derby
starting at 1:00 p.m.
Tickets, priced at $12 for adults, $11 for seniors and $2 for kids aged
6-12, will be available at grandstand ticket windows on Labor Day
Monday.  Kids aged five and under are free.
