Roney Resigns to Become CEO of Bunzl plc

AKRON, Ohio, Sept. 2 -- Mike Roney, president of Goodyear's European Union business, has resigned to accept the position of CEO for Bunzl plc, a London-based distributor with annual sales of approximately (US) $4.3 billion.

   Goodyear said Roney's successor would be announced in the next two weeks.

Goodyear is the world's largest tire company. The company manufactures tires, engineered rubber products and chemicals in more than 90 facilities in 28 countries around the world. Goodyear employs approximately 75,000 people worldwide.
