Los Angeles Auto Show Selects Rogers & Associates to Help Maximize Strategic Date Change
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31, 2005 -- The Los Angeles Auto Show has retained the public relations firm Rogers & Associates as agency of record to help maximize the auto show's strategic date change from early January to mid-November, beginning in 2006. Media days for the final January show are Jan. 4 and 5, and public days are Jan. 6 - 15, 2006. The 2007 LA Auto Show will be Dec. 1 - 10, 2006 with its media days on Nov. 29 and 30, 2006.
Rogers & Associates, known as one of the nation's leading strategic communications firms, will provide public relations counsel as the LA Auto Show elevates its overall stature in the global automotive industry. The move to November enables the show to occupy its own niche on the auto show calendar and provides automakers with improved opportunities for the introduction of new vehicles and concepts in Los Angeles.
"At a time of great change, we believe that Rogers & Associates is the perfect strategic partner to help us maximize the benefits of the new show dates," said Andy Fuzesi, general manager of the Los Angeles Auto Show. "Based on the well-respected work Rogers & Associates has done in the automotive sector and a variety of diverse industries, together we have the resources to grow the LA Auto Show to the next level."
The change in dates addresses a longstanding desire of the industry for the LA Auto Show to have its own time slot away from the Detroit auto show and to avoid the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
"This change of dates represents one of the most significant shifts in U.S. auto show history and we at Rogers & Associates are delighted to be a part of a team that will help shape the future of the LA Auto Show," said Ron Rogers, CEO of Rogers & Associates.
Rogers & Associates has a long history in the automotive industry and today provides public relations counsel to American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and Yokohama Tire Corporation. In addition to the firm's work in the automotive industry, Rogers & Associates works with leading companies and brands such as Kellogg, Bosch, Thermador, Bandai Toy Company, WellPoint, Washington Mutual Bank, Masterfoods and The RAND Corporation.
