AmeriCredit Offers Assistance to Hurricane Katrina Victims
FORT WORTH, Texas--Aug. 3, 20051, 2005--AmeriCredit Corp. is offering special assistance to its customers who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. The Company is urging any customers who have disaster-related problems and need help regarding their automobile loans to call AmeriCredit's Customer Service Department at 1-800-284-2271 as soon as they are able.Any such customer who calls should first let the representative know that he or she lives in a county or parish that has officially been declared a disaster zone. Then, the representative will be able to work with each customer individually to address the specific problem -- whether a vehicle has been damaged or destroyed, or whether the customer expects to have difficulty in making scheduled payments.
