PORTLAND, INDIANA'S WEESNER PURCHASES NEW GENERATION SILVER CROWN CAR; PLANS
FOR MORE IN WORKS

INDIANAPOLIS – Rodney Weesner of Portland, Ind., a 2005 USAC Weld Racing
Silver Crown Series rookie, has purchased a pavement car from Stealth
Motorsports for the 2006 Silver Crown campaign, he announced last Thursday.

Weesner will drive a car equipped with a Shaver powerplant and sponsored by
X-Plex of Portland, an organization building, promoting and specializing in
extreme sports in rural Jay County.

“I had looked at the series for several years and I’ve always wanted to run
with the best,” Weesner said. “The Silver Crown Series is the best of the
best. It is a very competitive series.”

Weesner has been involved in motorsports for over two decades, first as a
motocross rider and in the early 1990s as a competitor in micro- and
full-sized Sprint cars in California, where he had moved to pursue business
opportunities in the excavating industry. Weesner throughout the decade and
posted multiple race victories at Barona Raceway Park in Ramona.

He sold his excavating company in 2001 and returned to Portland, and
currently owns Hoosier Excavating, which works on the X-Plex project. But he
did not abandon his racing endeavors. He began competing in winged pavement
Sprint car racing with the Auto Value Sprint Series and occasionally
deserted the wing to compete with the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car
Series.

In his first season in the Silver Crown Series, Weesner has one start, which
came at the Richmond (Va.) International Raceway.

With the opportunity to compete at the some of the nation’s finest tracks
and gain additional exposure, Weesner said he has been a prime supporter of
the new generation Silver Crown car since he first heard about the project.
And with the assistance of X-Plex, Weesner can finally realize his dream of
competing against some of the nation’s top open-wheel drivers.

“I want to run at the best facilities and with the best drivers,” he said.
“I received good sponsorship because of the places we’ll be running, the TV
package, and our presence with the Indy Racing League and NASCAR. Sponsors
really like to see that.”

Stealth President Joey Martin, who anticipates the announcements of several
other car owners’ purchases soon, said he welcomes Weesner’s presence to the
Stealth family and added he is happy to field another car for the 2006
season.

“We’re happy that Weesner Motorsports LLC has chosen Stealth Motorsports as
the provider for its cars in 2006,” Martin said. “He was instrumental in
aligning us with (XPLEX owner) Glenn Barber and his X-Treme Motorplex. We
are working on a lot of other things with him. Although Rodney has had
limited seat time in one of these types of cars, he is committed to the team
’s success.”

Weesner, along with wife Stephanie, is the second car owner to commit to the
new cars, set to debut on all of the pavement tracks hosting Silver Crown
races in 2006. Don Kruse of Godfrey, Ill. announced late last month he will
field at least one car next season.

Weesner has also conversed with Martin about expanding his operation to a
multi-car team, and said he plans to release more information sometime
between late September and mid-October.

The Brownsburg, Ind.-based Stealth Motorsports is one of four chassis
construction outlets currently in the process of building or designing the
new generation pavement cars. Riley Technologies of Speedway, Ind. has
already designed and released its second car, while Keith Kunz Motorsports
of Columbus, Ind. and DRC Chassis of Indianapolis are busy working on their
first cars.
