MILLER TIME AGAIN AT MILWAUKEE IN GOVERNOR'S CUP
MARS SUPER LATE MODEL MAIN
Trickle Started 2nd, Broken Sway Bar Drops Wisconsin Racing Legend To
16th

Milwaukee, Wis. (August 28, 2005) - Jeremy Miller won the caution-free
Governor's Cup MARS Super Late Model race at the Milwaukee Mile Sunday
afternoon, picking up his second win of the weekend.

The Rockton, IL native started fourth and had grabbed the lead on lap
23, pulling away to a commanding win in the 50 lap event. Putting the
knowledge learned from Saturday's Governor's Cup Stock Car race victory
to good use, Miller was able to beat some of the biggest names in
Midwest racing.

"Yesterday I found a line we could use out here when the car tightened
up a bit," explained Miller. "You run up in the center of the turn and
get a good bite coming off the corner. I was doing that at the end of
the race, especially off of (turns) 1 and 2."

"Dick Trickle, Erik Darnell, Steve Carlson.I never thought I could run
with these guys," a respectful Miller commented in victory lane. "We
were decent when we unloaded. (Chassis specialist) Joe Wood kept
working on the car all weekend and it was pretty flawless for the first
forty laps. The car got a little loose at the end but that was probably
me over driving it."

The excitement and thrill of winning two races at the historic Milwaukee
Mile has the 25 year-old old energized for more big wins in his young
career. "Were going to win some more races, I'm ready," he exclaimed
when asked about his future plans.

After giving the command for the racers to start their engines, Trickle
jumped from his outside row one starting position to the front and led
the initial laps of the race, much to the delight of the partisan fans,
some of undoubtedly witnessed Trickle's 'Mile debut in a 1968 USAC Stock
Car race. Unfortunately, a broken sway bar plagued the fan favorite
from lap five on, as the Wisconsin stock car legend finished a
disappointed sixteenth.

As Trickle began his descent, Darnell grabbed the lead and held on for
the next twenty laps. The car faded a bit for the third-generation
Beach Park, IL racer, allowing Miller to work past. Darnell, a finalist
in the Roush Racing "Race For The Ride" NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
driver competition, held on to finish the race in seventh place.

Chicagoland standout Eddie Hoffman moved up from the eighth starting
spot to hold back the repeated attempts by 2004 NASCAR Midwest Series
champion Justin Diercks for second place. The two stock car veterans
battled for the final five laps, racing side by side, bouncing off each
other on one occasion down the front straight of the historic mile oval.
With a lap to go Diercks tried the outside line off the fourth turn but
Hoffman slammed the door and held on to the spot.

New track record holder Tim Schendel advanced from 14th to fourth, with
Minnesota hotshoe Todd Hansen completing the top five.
