Energy & Engine Technology Corporation Announces Sales Update
PLANO, Texas--Aug. 2, 20059, 2005--Energy & Engine Technology Corporation (OTCBB:EENT), a leading developer of auxiliary power generators for the long haul trucking industry, today announced that the response to its AXP 1000 product at the Dallas Great American Truck Show, which ended this past Saturday, was even stronger than expected. During the Show (August 25 - 27), EENT received signed orders to purchase 93 AXP 1000 units. In the coming weeks, EENT will follow through to assist truckers with obtaining financing to purchase the ordered units and to schedule installations. As EENT works to convert these orders into closed purchases and scheduled installations, EENT's current backlog of over 100 units should increase significantly. EENT is increasing production and looks to produce 25 units per week within 30 days. EENT had its first installation at its Baltimore, Maryland facility last week with the Salt Lake City, Utah and the Los Angeles, California facilities to begin installations in the next two weeks. These facilities, which are not Company owned and therefore require no capital commitment, will greatly increase installation capacity to meet product demand. EENT's goal is to have secured ten additional locations within the next six months.EENT's CEO, Will McAndrew, also met with several small fleets, which are purchasing initial units, with the potential of larger orders to follow. Also, EENT has installed AXPs on trucks owned or operated by members of all three of the largest buying clubs (Mercer, Jones and Landstar), which collectively represent over 20,500 trucks. These orders have opened the door for a full scale push to dominate the APU market. In review of EENT's successful exhibit at the Show, Mr. McAndrew commented: "We have known for a while that the long haul market is responding positively to the need for auxiliary power units. We believe we have the best product, and the overwhelming response at the Show confirms this for me." The success of the Show is building on the already existing momentum. This past week, seven units were installed at our company-owned installation facility in Dallas.
EENT was the only APU manufacturer mentioned by name in a Dallas Morning News article last Friday as the alternative for the long haul trucking industry to save fuel as well as help the environment.
