Mobitrac Inc., the market-leading provider of next-generation transportation execution systems, today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with KonaWare, a leading provider of a mobile logistics and motor freight applications.

Under the terms of the partnership, Mobitrac will integrate KonaWare's advanced mobile middleware into Mobitrac's patented predictive models. This integration of real-time, on-the-fly field data will provide shippers and carriers with the visibility to adapt quickly to unexpected, real-world events that take place between the moment the fleet leaves the dock and the time the shipment arrives at its intended destination--thus ensuring on-time, profitable deliveries.

Unlike many transportation execution solutions, which only provide current position of a fleet or delivery status, this joint application design goes a step further to capture route information, and provide continuous regeneration of profitable route plans while ensuring on-time deliveries. The system performs "what-if" analyses and predictively re-forecasts the relative future location of the entire fleet.
