Enterprise Rent-A-Car Bucks Industry Trend by Not Raising Rates for Corporate Customers

ST. LOUIS--Aug. 2, 20054, 2005--

Company keeping prices among lowest in corporate rental industry by honoring existing contracts and saying 'no' to across-the-board rate hikes

On the heels of recent announcements by competitors to raise rates for their business customers, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, North America's largest rental car company, announced today that it will be holding the line on prices for its Corporate Class program.

"Our corporate rentals have grown significantly in recent years because we offer tremendous value and unparalleled customer service," said Brad Carr, vice president of Corporate Business Development at Enterprise, who leads the Corporate Class program. "As an extension of our value-minded and customer-friendly culture, we've made a business decision to keep our prices among the lowest in the industry ... that means we'll continue to honor existing contracts and won't be implementing across-the-board rate hikes."

Enterprise's Corporate Class program serves the needs of businesses nationwide at its more than 200 on-airport and more than 5,700 neighborhood locations. In fact, the company's Corporate Class revenue has increased steadily for the past several years and more than 15 percent this year. Much of the growth can be attributed to superior service: In an industry ranking, Enterprise has been named No. 1 in customer satisfaction at U.S. airports in five of the past six years.

To serve its ever-widening corporate customer base, Enterprise employs some 400 managers to handle the needs of its nearly 200,000 corporate accounts, which includes small- to medium-sized businesses, as well as many Fortune 500 corporations.

"We welcome businesses - both large and small - who've not yet tried Enterprise to consider us as their corporate rental partner," Carr said. "We tailor our program to meet the individual and local needs of our customers, including custom billing and pick-up and drop-off."
