Sharpie 500- Bristol Motor Speedway Advance

No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

* Hometown Hero: Bristol Motor Speedway is considered Sterling
Marlin's hometown track. In 41 starts, he has three top-five and 18
top-10 finishes. In the last five races "under the lights" at Bristol,
he has four top-10 finishes.

* Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis #303 this
weekend for the second race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Marlin has driven
it twice this season, at the first Bristol race where he finished 11th
and the end of last month at Loudon where he finished 34th.

* NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin moved up one spot to
27th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings. The No. 40 Dodge,
however, is 23rd in owner points.

Tennessee Connections:

This weekend's race at Bristol Motor Speedway is special for two members
of the No. 40 Coors Light team, driver Sterling Marlin and team manager
Tony Glover. The two have been friends for 27 years and co-workers for
11 years. They started working together at Morgan-McClure Motorsports
in 1994 and continued there for two years as driver and crew chief
before Glover left for Team SABCO. When Marlin joined Team SABCO in
1998, the two were reunited. Glover has been the team manager for
Marlin's team for the past eight years and has called the races for him
for six of them.

Glover currently is one of two team managers for Chip Ganassi Racing
with Felix Sabates. He manages the day-to-day racing operations and
oversees the car and chassis schedules, is the liaison to the engine
builders and also serves as a consultant to the crew chiefs on race set
up and strategies. In addition to that, he sits on top of the pit box
on NEXTEL Cup race days and helps call the race with crew chief Steve
Boyer for Marlin.

"Glover and I have been together for a long time," Marlin remarked. "We
talk several times a day and he has a lot of good ideas on what to do
for the car. We also spend time away from the race track together.
Racing at Bristol is always a family affair for both of us, and we look
forward to going there and doing well in front of the hometown crowd."

"I have enjoyed working with Sterling all these years," Glover
commented. "He knows what he wants from the cars and he is not afraid
to let you know. We always have worked well together and we look
forward to the race this weekend in Tennessee."

This will be their 22nd start together at Bristol Motor Speedway. They
have accumulated one top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.
