SRC Releases DriveRight(TM) Drive Time Tool

Utility Redefines Industry Approach to Drive Time Polygon Calculations

ORANGE, Calif., Aug. 23 -- SRC LLC, a leading systems integrator for enterprise-level business intelligence solutions, announced today the immediate availability of its previously announced new technology for precisely defining drive time polygons. Branded as DriveRight(TM), the technology is intended to redefine the industry technique in calculating drive time polygons based on actual road networks, which will enhance the overall accuracy in market and customer analyses.

"SRC's DriveRight drive time engine creates drive time polygons that represent areas people can drive to and from exclusively," said Olivia Duane-Adams, SRC Co-founder. "Most competing systems create polygons that deviate from real road networks, including uninhabitable areas, skewing the size and shape of the polygon and significantly altering the resulting demographics. As a result of DriveRight's very precise capabilities, market researchers will have for the first time a more realistic means to analyzing customer drive times leading to greater accuracy in their analyses."

Offered as a fully integrated and optional utility for SRC's widely adopted Portfolio(TM) suite of business intelligence solutions, it is available for use with SRC's Allocate, Solocast and PinPoint market analysis tools. Pricing for DriveRight starts at $2,495 per user with the current TIGER 2003 dataset. An advanced TeleAtlas DynaMap dataset version is available for more sophisticated analyses with a price of $4,995 per user. DriveRight will be integrated into SRC's DemographicsNow Web site located at www.DemographicsNow.com serving as the drive time engine and supporting 20,000 users per month in October 2005.

DriveRight enhances market analyses for a number of strategic marketing initiatives, including: optimizing networks, executing more efficient direct mail campaigns, designating objective trade areas, estimating demand in new markets, and more accurately defining demographics in current markets. Furthermore, drive time polygons are commonly used in a variety of industries, including: automotive, commercial real estate, retail and telecommunications to name a few.

DriveRight differentiates itself from other competitive technologies by calculating how long it takes to drive from any intersection, address or point outward in all directions, which is defined by the user in seconds. A buffer is added to each road segment to capture the entire target market for where customers live work or shop. Additionally, DriveRight takes into consideration driving conditions for different road types as defined by the underlying street data.

Designed to be both country and data independent, DriveRight is further differentiated as it offers significant economies of scale for multi-national corporations. As a single technology utility capable of providing business intelligence regardless of the country, DriveRight can be deployed worldwide without the burden and expense of acquiring multiple systems or technologies. Consequently, corporations can standardize on one technology, which provides operational benefits such as reduced technology acquisition costs and IT resource needs, quicker worldwide deployments and shorter learning curves.
