IRL added them to the schedule. These cars are a lot of fun to drive on a road course. They've got good grip,
good power, the brakes work very well. It's a good combination."

Herta is in eighth place in the IndyCar Series points championship. He is six points out of seventh
place and 27 points from the fifth spot.
This will be the first IndyCar Series race at Infineon and the second on a road course. The 80-lap
event will be 184 miles long.
Herta has two major open-wheel wins on the road course at Laguna Seca.
At the Firestone Indy 400 at Michigan International Speedway (July 31), Herta started on the pole, led
159 of 200 laps and earned his second career IndyCar Series win.
Herta is the 22nd different driver to win two or more races in IndyCar Series history.
Herta recorded a third-place finish at the 2005 Indianapolis 500, his best finish at the famed track.
Since his first IndyCar Series race in 2003, Herta is tied with the fifth-most top-10 results among all
IndyCar Series drivers and has the fifth-most top-five finishes.
Herta is one of three drivers in 2005 to claim three pole positions. He took his first pole at Phoenix, the
second at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and the third at Michigan.
Herta has four career major open-wheel racing wins and 10 poles.
Herta's first IndyCar Series victory came at Kansas Speedway in 2003.
For each race Herta wins during the 2005 season one fan will win $10,000 courtesy of XM Satellite
