KLAUS GRAF LEADS ROCKETSPORTS IN PRACTICE AT ROAD AMERICA

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (August 19, 2005) In second round practice for the Rumble at the Road at historic Road America, series Rookie, Klaus Graf in the No. 7 Jaguar R Performance XKR set the second fastest lap time around the 4-mile 13-turn road course. Graf recorded a time of two minutes, 10.572 seconds, just 23/100ths off of championship point’s leader Randy Ruhlman. Rocketsports teammate Tomy Drissi was third quickest with a lap time of two minutes, 11.607 second in the No. 5 Transporter the Movie Jaguar XKR. The third car in the Rocketsports stable driven by owner, Paul Gentilozzi did not set a lap time at speed in the late afternoon session.

The rookie driver and crew, headed by Troy Cowgil know what changes are needed to have a shot at the pole and score three valuable championship points. “There is still quite a lot left in it. The car is not totally there, we’ll keep working on it,” said Graf. “I got a lot more comfortable with the braking and some very fast corners slowly working my confidence up. I am pretty happy. I think we have a lot left in the car and a little in myself too. I think pole position will be possible if everything goes according to plan.”

Qualifying for the Rumble at the Road is scheduled for 8:55 am Central time tomorrow with a final practice session at 5:30 pm. The Trans-Am race in scheduled for Sunday morning at 10:20 am Central time.
