MOPAR'S CARLSON READY TO ROLL AT MOROSO

Center Line, Mich. - As the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series heads to
Moroso Motorsports Park this weekend for the Palm Beach NHRA Sport Compact
Nationals, Mopar's Shaun Carlson will be gunning for his first victory of the
season. Trading the "left" coast for sunny Florida, Carlson is hoping the similiar
scenery will give his NuFormz Racing team an added shot of confidence for the
weekend.

"Florida, California, it's all the same," Carlson joked. "In all seriousness,
we're hoping that all the hard work we've put in at our California shop will
pay off at Moroso this weekend. This team has really come together in the last
month or so to refocus on getting back to the winner's circle. This weekend's
event could be a turning point for us, and our goal is to have a great run
for Mopar as well as ourselves."

Carlson and the NuFormz Racing team put on an impressive display of NHRA
Sport Compact Drag Racing during the NHRA Mopar Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere
Speedway in July. Demonstrating just how fast a front wheel drive machine can
be, Carlson took several turns down the quarter-mile in front of an
enthusiastic full house.

That positive vibe from the fans is something Carlson is looking to recapture
this weekend at the Moroso Motorsports Park.

"In racing, you feed off of the energy that the crowd produces," Carlson
said. "There's nothing like making a great run and hearing how pumped up the crowd
is afterward. We're going to go to Moroso this weekend and not only try to
get the win, but we're going to try to put on a great show for the fans as well."

Carlson is currently ranked fifth in the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing
Series Pro Front Wheel Drive division. The Palm Beach NHRA Sport Compact Nationals
will take place at the Moroso Motorsports Park in West Palm Beach, Fla., on
August 20 and 21. Time trials are scheduled to begin on August 20 at 2 p.m.
EST. Eliminations are scheduled to begin on August 21 at 10 a.m.
