Giant Motorsports Reports Record Second Quarter Financial Results
SALEM, Ohio, Aug. 17, 2005 -- Giant Motorsports Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: GMOS) , implementing a national roll up strategy with a "big box" destination business model in the motorcycle and powersports industry, published its June 30, 2005 financial results:
* Reports 2nd Q '05 Sales of $35.8 million vs $22.7 million in 2nd Q '04 * Reports 2nd Q '05 Diluted EPS of $0.10 vs $0.02 in 2nd Q '04 * Reports 6 month Sales volume of $56.5 million * Reports 2nd Q '05 net income $1.09 million vs $206K in 2nd Q'04
For three months ended June 30, 2005, net sales increased to $35.8 million compared to $22.7 million for the same period in 2004. This represents a 57% increase from last year's second quarter sales. The Company's results compare favorably to its second quarter of last year reflecting the integration of the Chicago store acquisition, completed in May 2004. "Another positive impact was the relocation of the Chicago store to its new 95,000 square foot facility in mid-April '05. Our strong sales results reflect the overwhelming customer acceptance of our new super-store environment," said Greg Haehn, President.
Net income increased to $1.09 million, or $0.10 per diluted share compared to net income of $206,119, or $0.02 per diluted share for the same period in 2004. "We continue to make excellent progress executing our business plan. Our new store in Chicago has caught the eye of motorcycle enthusiasts and we have the sales to prove it," said Mr. Haehn.
"Our new flagship superstore in Chicago continues to impress customers; and as we fine tune the merchandise mix with 800 motorcycles on display and enhance the showroom's visual impact; we see exciting growth opportunities and anticipate even stronger financial results in the future," said Mr. Haehn.
