          "I expect Pikes Peak to be a very difficult weekend.  It's always a very, very tough track with the
altitude and the bumping in the middle of turn one and turn two; it's always a difficult task to get the car
handling to your complete satisfaction.  I expect the Klein Tools/Jim Beam team to give me a reasonably
handling race car and it will just be a case of fine tuning the car."

Dan Wheldon Facts
       This will be Wheldon's third trip to Pikes Peak in the IndyCar Series.  His best finish was third in 2004.
       The Klein Tools/Jim Beam team has recorded a top-six finish in 18 of the last 19 races.
       Wheldon has won four of the 12 races in 2005 and leads the IndyCar Series championship standings
       by 90 points over Sam Hornish Jr.
       Wheldon is the only IndyCar Series driver to win four of the first five races in a season and only the
       second driver to win four races over a five-race span.
       Adding to his record-breaking 2005 season, Wheldon won the 89th running of the Indianapolis 500 on
       May 29.  He is the 64th different driver to win the event.
       Wheldon's seven career wins came over a 19-race stretch, which is the best stretch in IndyCar Series
       history.  The next-closest stretch was by Sam Hornish Jr. who won seven races in 27 tries.
       Wheldon has the fifth-most top-five finishes in IndyCar Series history with 26.
       Earlier in 2005, Wheldon collected three-consecutive victories, only the second driver to achieve that
       feat.  In addition to the Indianapolis 500, he won at Twin Ring Motegi and the Honda Grand Prix of St.
       Petersburg.  His first win of 2005 came at Homestead-Miami Speedway where he led 158 of 200 laps.
       Wheldon has led 583 laps in 2005.  He is currently seventh on the all-time list for laps led with 1,049,
       and is one of only 10 people to lead at least 1,000 laps in the IndyCar Series.
       Wheldon was selected as Speed Channel's second quarter Driver of the Year in 2005.

          "Pikes Peak is a tricky, little track.  With the thinner air, we lose quite a chunk of the downforce
available to us, so it tends to put an emphasis on mechanical grip.  We feel quite confident that we have a
good starting setup.  We expect to be quick right out of the box and then plan to work on our race setup."
