Oshkosh Truck Names Paul Gosling Vice President of Purchasing
OSHKOSH, Wis.--Aug. 1, 20056, 2005--Oshkosh Truck Corporation , a leading manufacturer of specialty trucks and truck bodies, has promoted Paul Gosling to the newly created position of vice president of purchasing. This new leadership position is responsible for annual procurement of more than $2 billion in components and materials, strategic supplier relationship management, the implementation of lean throughout the organization's purchasing organization and purchasing support of new product development and acquisitions. The position reports to Thomas Fenner, Oshkosh's chief procurement officer."Paul combines a results-focused approach with broad business perspective to bring outstanding leadership qualities to this position. Gosling, previously director of corporate and strategic purchasing, has held positions of increasing responsibility within Oshkosh Truck's purchasing area since 1998. He holds a B.A. in business and marketing from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and is a retired U.S. Army officer.
