NASCAR NEXTEL: Kyle Busch Fined, Placed on Probation for Watkins Glen Infraction

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 16, 2005) – NASCAR announced today that Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, has been fined $10,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31 for an infraction last week at Watkins Glen International.

Busch was fined for hitting another competitor’s car after the completion of the race, a violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series rule book.
