Delphi Receives CIO 100 Honor for Fourth Consecutive Year
TROY, Mich., Aug. 16, 2005 -- IDG's CIO magazine announced today that Delphi Corp. is a recipient of the 2005 CIO 100 award. The annual award program recognizes 100 organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT). This marks the fourth consecutive year Delphi has been honored with the award.

"Delphi is a technology leader, not just for its renowned technology products and services, but also for the technology that runs the business," says Bette Walker, Delphi vice president and CIO. "Information Technology is a core strength as Delphi transforms its business in response to a challenging business environment."
In light of ever-changing business trends, the focus of the CIO 100 changes annually. This year's award theme is the Bold 100. Delphi was recognized for its bold efforts to move into new and adjacent markets such as medical and consumer electronics. The previous award themes Delphi has been recognized for over the last three years are Agility, The Resourceful 100, and The Integration Imperative.
"The Bold 100 honorees stand out because they have dared to take on risk for the chance of reward in an extremely conservative business climate," says Abbie Lundberg, editor-in-chief, CIO. "The executives leading these organizations are smart, inventive and determined -- I offer them my warmest congratulations." In July, CIO magazine was listed as one of the top five "most valuable podiums" in a survey of C-level executives conducted by the Public Relations firm Burson-Marsteller.
The 2005 CIO 100 awards will be presented at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California, on August 23 at the conclusion of the seventh annual CIO 100 Symposium(R) and Awards Ceremony.
