Chad Hord Maintains First Place Position in CORR Series After Strong Showing at Bark River
GARDENA, Calif.--Aug. 1, 20055, 2005--Nissan driver Chad Hord entered the weekend with the Pro-Lite division lead in the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) series, and, with a strong weekend of racing, leaves in first place in the overall drivers' points standing.In Round 9, Hord fought off the competition to earn a third place finish. And in Round 10, Hord finished a respectable fifth place. After the weekend racing at the U.P. Off Road 100 at the Bark River Off Road Raceway in Bark River, Mich., Hord maintains first place standing, while fellow driver Art Schmitt is in fifth place.
Rounds 11 and 12 of the CORR Lucas Oil Series will return to the Crandon International Off Road Raceway for the BorgWarner World Championships over Labor Day weekend, September 3-4. Crandon is a special place for Nissan drivers. Last time Hord raced at Crandon in Rounds 5 and 6 he swept the race weekend, earning two first place finishes, and Schmitt raced to a first place finish in last year's event.
