INDIANAPOLIS – Jeff Abold of Oswego, N.Y. won USAC’s first ever race in the
state of Maine, holding off 12 other competitors in Saturday’s 25-lap
Northeast Ford Focus Midget Car Series feature at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Abold, who won earlier this season at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts,
drove to his second career feature triumph, leading the final 17 laps. He
beat Dana Messier, Shawn Gosselin, Michael Sboro and Ginny Quinones to the
stripe.

Sboro’s fourth-place finish, coupled with a 13th-place result by Nick Wean,
opened up a 33-point advantage by Sboro heading into the next race Aug. 27
