It's Back To Business for David Powers Motorsports

Houston, TX 8/15/05 David Powers Motorsports will get back in action at
this coming weekend's NHRA O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals August (22-25)
in Memphis and begin working their way back into the Top 10 points
standings.

The Top Fuel team recently under went a few personnel changes, resulting
in the David Powers Homes/ Valvoline mean machine being tuned by
talented Crew Chief Lee Beard. Beard's win record includes 52 National
events and two points Championships.

"It's definitely not the easiest task to join a new team in the middle
of the season, but overall I feel the transition has gone pretty
smoothly for everyone involved," said Beard. "The guys have been
unbelievable and everyone has put in 110%, to say the least. The NHRA
Fram-Autolite Nationals in Sonoma was our first event together as a team
and for the most part the car and team preformed very well. We have
spent the last few weeks working together and now we feel more prepared
to hit the track in Memphis and hopefully, bring home the team's first
win."

Currently "Hot Rod" Fuller is 13th in the point standings, but that's
not going to be for long.

"We've got one race under our belts as a team and now our goal is to go
as many rounds as we can to try and move up in points," said Fuller,
Top Fuel driver for Powers Motorsports and 13 time NHRA National event
champion. "It won't be easy, especially considering we have not attended
all National events this season, but regardless our goal is set, the
team is determined and we are going to give it all we have to finish in
the Top 10. As everyone knows in this sport, anything is possible."
