MBUSA Appoints Keogh to General Manager, Marketing Communications

MONTVALE, N.J., Aug. 15, 2005 -- Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today announced the appointment of Scott Keogh to the newly created position of general manager, marketing communications, effective immediately.

As general manager, marketing communications, Keogh will be responsible for developing Mercedes- Benz strategic communication plans, including positioning for the overall brand and individual product lines. He will have direct responsibility for national marketing communications, regional advertising as well as market research and strategy. Keogh will temporarily report directly to MBUSA President and CEO Paul Halata until such time as the company announces the appointment of a new vice president of marketing.

Keogh brings over a decade of experience in marketing, brand strategy and communications to the position. Since joining MBUSA in 1994, Keogh has held a series of increasingly responsible positions within marketing communications and product management, including most recently as general manager, smart USA, and previously, as general manager, corporate communications.
