Aaron Eichelberger Wins at SSP on Sunday

AARON EICHELBERGER  WINS AT SSP ON SUNDAY NIGHT 

Newberrytown,  PA (August 14, 2005)  -   Super sportsman rookie Aaron  
Eichelberger posted victory in Sunday night’s 20-lap Trail Motors Super  Sportsman 
feature race at Susquehanna Speedway Park. 
Other  winners included Jim Shuttlesworth (topless late models), Craig Morgan 
(street  stocks), Ed Hollenbach (4-cyl. Stocks) and Rick Nicklow (Road 
Warrior  Construction). 
Eichelberger,  23, of Dillsburg, jumped ahead of John Stehman at the start of 
the 20-lap main  event.  He then survived numerous  caution periods and a 
pair of red flags to score the $1,000 victory.  It was his second win of the 
year, but  first career at Susquehanna Speedway Park.  Frankie Herr made a 
late-race bid to get  the top spot, but fell short.  He  finished second followed by 
Pat Cannon, Rich Eichelberger and Stehman.  Danny Hager, Gregg Foster, Richie  
Hartman, Jason Fry and  Steve Wilbur  completed the top 10.           Heat 
events for the 24 super sportsman went to Scott Dellinger, Aaron  Eichelberger 
and Pat Cannon. 
Jim  Shuttlesworth led every lap of the 20-lap Topless Late Model main and 
fought off  Jason Covert at the end of the chase. Larry Baer, Gary Potts and 
Jake Jones  completed the top five.  Harold  Beinhower, Gerry Stutting Jr., Carl 
Graves, Derrike Zirkle and Bud Barton filled  the top 10.  Heat races for the 
24  late models were won by Bud Barton, Larry Baer and Jake  Jones. 
Craig  Morgan won the 25-lap street stock feature over Kory Sites, Joe 
Whitely, Weston  Alleman and  Paul  Morgan. 
In  the 15-lap 4-cylinder stock feature, Ed Hollenbach defeated John Stoll 
Jr.,  Sonny Williamson,  LeRoy Long and  Eric Hollenbach. 
Rob  Nicklow won the 8-lap Road Warrior Construction race over Tim Thompson, 
Shawn  Crunkilton, Jeff Keefer and Roy Denike.  
SSP  swings back into action this Thursday night, August 18.  Sprint Cars 
return with a great night  of fun and entertainment featuring Camera & Autograph 
night.  All fans will have the opportunity to  meet their favorite drivers 
with their cars on the frontstretch before the  feature events. The Xtreme Stock 
Cars, XSC Rookie Rumble, Women on Wheels Stock  Cars, Legends Cars and Mini 
Van Construction Race will be on hand as well.  If needed, a rain date will be 
announced  for this event.   
Gates  open in the pit area and grandstands at 5:00  p.m.   Warm-ups begin at 
7:00  p.m.  with racing beginning promptly at 7:30  p.m.  Grandstand ticket  
prices are Adults (18 & older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children (6-12)  
$4.00; and Children (5 & under) are free.  SSP  will continue its Repeat Fan 
Discount in which there will be a $2.00 discount for each person on  August 18 
with a ticket stub from the August 4 or August 14 events only.  Returning fans 
are encouraged to write their name, address  and phone number on the back of 
the stub to be entered into special drawings  during the season for great 
prizes.  Last season, the grand prize was two tickets for the October NASCAR race  
at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North  Carolina.  Pit pass prices 
are $20.00 with a  reduced price of $18.00 for all track licensee holders. 
The  next Sunday night event will be August 21 featuring the Trail Motors 
Super  Sportsman Series along with the Silver Spring Street Stocks, Classic Cars 
and a  Road Warrior Flag Pole race.  There  will also be the final One-on-One 
Street Car Drag of the season.   Entries for the  Street Car Drags are limited 
to sixteen and forms are available online at  sspracing.net or by calling 
(717) 292-1696.  The winner will receive $250.00.  The rain date for this event 
will be  Sunday, August 25.

SSP  News and Notes: 
-  The Super Sportsman at SSP culminates with the Inaugural 75-lap Trail 
Motors  Championship on Sunday, September 4, paying $2,500 to the winner.  For the 
championship race, there will be  12 automatic qualifiers for the event 
determined by the winners of the following  events: 1) Silver Spring (Sat., May 28 –
 Craig Morrow); 2) SSP (Sun., May 29 –  Russ Mitten); 3) SSP (Sun., June 5 – 
 Dave Calaman); 4) Port Royal (Wed., June 15  - Pat Cannon); 5) SSP (Sun., 
June  19 – Rich Eichelberger); 6) Williams Grove (Fri., June 24 – Danny  
Hager); 7) Silver Spring (Sat., July 2 – Billy Schoffstall); 8) SSP  (Sun., July 3 –
