HERTA TO START 11TH IN XM SATELLITE RADIO CAR AT
KENTUCKY
SPARTA, Ky. (Aug. 13, 2005) - XM Satellite Radio driver Bryan Herta will start 11th for
Sunday's running of the AMBER Alert Portal Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway. Because the
qualification session was rained out, the starting grid was based on combined session practice speeds
from earlier in the day. Herta had a best-lap speed of 216.124 miles per hour (24.6525 seconds) in
the second practice session.
Tomorrow's race goes green at 3:45 p.m. (EDT) with ABC Sports providing live coverage of
the event beginning at 3:30 p.m. (EDT). The 12th race of the 2005 Indy Racing LeagueŽ IndyCarŽ
Series schedule can be heard live by XM Satellite Radio subscribers on Extreme XM, channel 152.
Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"At the last race in Michigan, we got the qualification setup right, but this week it wasn't quite
as good. The XM Satellite Radio car was very comfortable in practice, but it didn't show a lot of
speed, so hopefully in the race we'll be alright. At this race, the bumps are going to be a huge factor,
there's no doubt about it, but it's the same for everybody."
