Sarnamotive America Achieves ISO/TS Certification at All Manufacturing Sites

MARYSVILLE, Mich., Aug. 12, 2005 -- Sarnamotive Blue Water today announced that all of its manufacturing sites in the United States and Mexico have achieved ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification. The certification includes facilities in Port Huron, St. Clair, Caro and Lexington, Mich., and Tultitlan, Mexico.

The ISO/TS 16949:2002 is a technical specification for the automotive industry. Developed by the International Automotive Task Force, this specification is used in conjunction with customer specific requirements. This highly respected specification promotes continual improvement, defect prevention, and reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. The company's certification has been registered by Intertek Automotive Systems Certification, an accredited, third-party registrar based in Grand Rapids, Mich.

ISO/TS 16949:2002 is an ISO Technical Specification that aligns existing United States, German, French and Italian automotive quality system standards within the international automotive industry. The certification specifies the quality system requirements for the design/development, production, installation and servicing of automotive-related products.
