SSP Racing Postponed on Thursday Night
Newberrytown, PA (August 11, 2005) - Just as all divisions completed their
practice sessions, a severe thunderstorm dumped large amounts of rain on the
speedway forcing officials to postpone all divisions until the next two
races. The Topless Late Models have been added to the events scheduled for
Sunday, August 14 with Camera and Autograph Night featuring the Trail Motors Super
Sportsman, Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Road Warriors. All fans will
have the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers with their cars on the
frontstretch before the feature events. The EMMR Vintage Cars are also invited
back for an exhibition on Sunday night. If needed, a rain date will be
announced for this event.
The new format for the events on Sunday, August 14, will be qualifying races
and 20-lap features for the Topless Late Models and Trail Motors Super
Sportsman. The Street Stocks and Four Cylinders will compete in 25-lap features
with no qualifying events. Feature lineups for the Street Stocks will be
aligned by handicapping; Four Cylinders will draw for starting positions.
The racing events scheduled for Sunday night, August 7 were postponed as
well until Sunday night, August 14 due to a late afternoon thunderstorm. All

exchanged for admission to the next two racing events on August 14 and August 18.
