Nissan Announces Pricing on Five 2006 Models: Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Armada and Titan
GARDENA, Calif.--Aug. 11, 2005--Nissan North America, Inc. today announced 2006 model year pricing on five models, the Sentra, Altima and Maxima sedans, the Armada full-size SUV and Titan full-size pickup. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for all models of the 2006 Sentra and Altima increase $200, while all 2006 Maxima models receive a $250 MSRP increase.Pricing increases for the 2006 Armada range from $500 to $850 MSRP, reflecting a number of enhancements to the various trim levels' standard equipment offerings. The 2006 Titan MSRP increases range from $300 to $650, again reflecting additional content and equipment for the various trim levels.
The 2006 Altima went on sale on August 5, Sentra on August 9, Maxima on August 11, and Armada and Titan go on sale August 15.
The 2006 Sentra is again offered in a choice of two engines - a 126-horsepower(a) DOHC 1.8-liter 4-cylinder and a 165-horsepower 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder (the 2006 Sentra SE-R Spec V with 175-horsepower will be available in October). Prices for the 2006 Sentra start at $13,100 for the Sentra 1.8 M/T and $13,900 for the Sentra 1.8 A/T. The Sentra 1.8 S A/T with the high-value Special Edition Package has an MSRP of $16,400, representing a $1,500 savings over separately priced option packages. The Sentra SE-R is priced at $18,000. The overall sales-weighted MSRP increase for model year 2006 Sentra is 1.3%.
The Nissan Altima, which has been achieving record sales in calendar year 2005, features four new available packages for 2006 and available factory-installed satellite radio with choice of XM(R) or Sirius(TM) services.
Pricing for the 2006 Altima starts at $19,500 for the Altima 2.5 S M/T with 175-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and $23,500 for the Altima 3.5 SE M/T with 250-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. The Altima 2.5 S A/T with the high-value Special Edition Package has an MSRP of $20,450, representing a $1,200 savings over separately priced option packages. The performance-oriented Altima SE-R, which was introduced in the 2005 model year, features an MSRP of $29,550 in 2006 for both the manual and automatic transmission-equipped models. The overall sales-weighted MSRP increase for model year 2006 Altima is 1.0%.
Nissan's flagship sedan, the popular Maxima, continues to offer an unmatched blend of performance and luxury. For 2006, Maxima offers an available Bluetooth(R) Hands-Free Phone System (the first Nissan vehicle to offer this system), illuminated steering wheel control switches and available factory-installed satellite radio. Pricing for the 2006 Maxima is $27,750 for the Maxima 3.5 SE (6-speed manual and automatic transmission-equipped models) and $30,000 for the Maxima 3.5 SL 5A/T. The overall sales-weighted MSRP increase for model year 2006 Maxima is 0.9%.
The Nissan Armada receives a number of enhancements for 2006, including standard automatic dual-zone air conditioning, standard 60/40 split fold-flat 3rd row seat, 6 CD-mp3 capable audio system, new power folding auto dimming and heated mirrors with integrated turn signal on LE models, standard Tow Package on SE Off-Road model and new exterior colors. Every Armada features a standard 305-horsepower 5.6-liter DOHC V8 and 5-speed automatic transmission with a Tow Haul mode. Armada's 9,100-pound maximum towing capacity (when properly equipped) is the highest maximum towing capacity in class.
The MSRP for the 2006 Armada 2WD SE is $34,500 and $39,800 for the Armada 2WD LE. Four-wheel drive Armada models features MSRPs of $37,300 for the SE, $40,800 for the SE Off-Road (with standard Tow Package) and $42,600 for the LE. The overall sales-weighted MSRP increase for model year 2006 Armada is 1.6%.
The 2006 Titan continues to provide a fresh alternative and innovative design to the full-size truck category. It is offered in both King Cab and Crew Cab body configurations and with standard 305-horsepower 5.6-liter DOHC V8 with best-in-class 379 lb-ft torque, 5-speed automatic transmission and a maximum towing capacity of up to 9,500 pounds (when properly equipped).
The 2006 Titan is available in a choice of 4x4 and 4x2 drive configurations. Pricing includes an MSRP of $23,250 for the Titan XE KC 4x2, $26,450 for the Titan XE KC 4x4, $27,900 for the Titan SE CC 4x2 and $35,750 for the Titan LE CC 4x4. The overall sales-weighted MSRP increase for model year 2006 Titan is 1.1%.
