BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Aug. 8, 2005--Motion Industries, North America's leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operation (MRO) replacement parts, was selected to receive the 2004 Spirit of Excellence Award. This award is presented annually by Hormel Foods to those companies who have attained excellence in service and customer satisfaction.

The recognition was based on high performance on deliveries, administrative proficiency, quality of products and customer service. In order to receive the Spirit of Excellence Award, the supplier needs to achieve a 96% or higher overall rating for the past 12 months. Motion Industries achieved a score of 97.4%.
