Suzuki to launch small SUV in 2006

TOKYO August 8, 2005; Japan Today reported that Suzuki Motor Corp will introduce a new small sport utility vehicle in 2006 for worldwide sales at prices cheaper than those of comparable models offered by rival automakers, a business daily reported Sunday.

Citing company sources, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun said Suzuki will produce the 2000 cc SUV, which can be used almost like a passenger car, in Japan, China, India and Hungary. Suzuki reportedly spent 50 billion yen to develop the car. (Kyodo News)
