Lebanon Valley Speedway Press Release

Dwyer Holds Off Hearn, Hoffman and Yetman See Checkers!

By: Rodney Rescott August 6, 2005

West Lebanon, NY: County Concrete and Taconic DSL presented Saturday Night's
action at Lebanon Valley Speedway. And other packed house witnessed how
hard work and persistence can pay off with a victory, at the High Banks.

Ronnie Dwyer, aboard his familiar blue, TEO Bowflex #88D, wheeled his Bedell
Racing Engines ride to a victory, with "The Jet" hounding him the whole way.
The field took the green with Dwyer on the pole, and he powered away early.
As the laps began to click away, Brett Hearn's #1 led the charge through the
field, bringing with him the #45 of "Mr. Excitement", Wayne Jelley, the
"Sand Lake Slingshot" of Kenny Tremont, and the "Wild Child" Andy Bachetti.
Also in toe, was the #74 of "Mr. Consistent" J.R. Heffner, who quietly and
steadily, worked through the traffic, reaching as high as 3rd. But a late
race malfunction ended his night early, finishing outside the top ten.

Dwyer was not to be denied, as Hearn got to second by lap 9, and began to
hound the race leader. A few more cautions bunched the field, but it wasn't
going to be enough, as Dwyer held his line, and held off Hearn for an
emotionally charged win. "These guys work so hard, everyday on these cars",
Ronnie explained in victory lane. "Most people have no idea how much work
you have to put into these cars everyday, every week. If they did, they
would know just how crazy we are, doing this." Brett Hearn finished the
night in 2nd, followed by Wayne Jelley's #45; Kenny Tremont crossed the line
4th, followed by the #4 of Andy Bachetti. The teammates of Steve Hough and
Russ Reckner were next, followed by the #44 of Dave Leckonby, the #60 of
Brian Berger, and Hector Stratton's #87 finished off the top 10.

Kyle Hoffman's #16 out-lasted the late race charges, and several cautions to
capture his first win of 2005 in the Sportsman Division. Hoffman was
followed by Jeff Watson's #22, Art Collins in his #68, the #39 of Ryan
Larkin, and K.C. Goewey wheeled his #2 to round out the top 5. Rob Yetman
got to the lead early in the 20 lap Pro Stock event and never looked back,
capturing his 7th of 2005. Jason Casey held tough with a 2nd place finish,
Jay Casey, his father, finished 3rd, followed by Dave Blanchard, and Victor
Hopkins. The Rookies Pro Stocks' saw George Miles III return to victory
lane. Second was John Rivers Jr, Bill Hammell, Jim Cronk, and Brian Keough
rounded out the top 5.

The Pure Stocker's impressed the packed house, as always, with four action
packed events. After several hard fought battles, the victories went to the
#04 of Tom Harkins in the 1st, the 2nd went to Dave Streibel and his #073,
the 3rd was won by the #82 of Phil Wood, and the 4th was captured by Chrissy
Hilt aboard her familiar #49.

On deck for next week, it's the return of the 358's to the High Banks, as
Saxton Signs and Funplex Fun Park team up to bring you a night of fantastic
racing action, and fun.
