Mechanical Simulation Sets European User Conference for September 22 in Germany

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 5, 2005 -- Practical applications, simulations and overall vehicle dynamics will be on the schedule as Mechanical Simulation Corporation hosts the 2005 European CarSim/TruckSim Seminar and User Conference, Sept. 22 in Braunschweig, Germany. The conference, held in conjunction with the Motion Simulator Conference 2005, will take place at the DLR German Aerospace Center.

The conference will focus primarily on current and potential uses of CarSim, Mechanical Simulation's software package for simulating the dynamic vehicle behavior of cars, light trucks and utility vehicles. CarSim animates simulated tests and generates over 500 output variables that are plotted and analyzed. It includes sample vehicles, electronic chassis systems, test procedures and roads. Other software easily connects to CarSim for design of experiments and optimization, engine design, hydraulics and suspension. Engineers in design, development, testing and planning activities use CarSim.

In addition, the company's TruckSim and BikeSim simulation software products will also be highlighted during the conference.

"In addition to our demonstrations of the CarSim software, the conference allows users to exchange ideas, ask questions and generally to see what others in the field are doing with it," explained Damon Becker, Mechanical Simulation academic sales and marketing manager. Mechanical Simulation presenters include Dr. Michael W. Sayers and Dr. Thomas D. Gillespie, founders of the company. Dr. Sayers is the lead developer of CarSim and Dr. Gillespie is the author of the textbook Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics.
