Japan's Top 10 Bestsellers in July 2005
Tokyo August 5, 2005; Kyodo news reported that Toyota Motor Corp.'s Corolla remained the best-selling passenger car in Japan's new vehicle sales in July, retaining the top place for the second straight month by selling 14,980 units, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association said Thursday.
Four of the 10 best-selling passenger cars in the reporting month were produced by Toyota, with its Vitz grabbing second place by selling 12,286 units.
Nissan Motor Co. had three of the top 10 slots while Honda Motor Co. had two, including the Step WGN, which took third place after undergoing a full face-lift in May.
Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.'s Legacy took ninth place, making for its first entry into the top 10 list after a year of absence.
No model from Mitsubishi Motors Corp. made the top 30 list for the fourth consecutive month.
The following were the top 10 best-selling new vehicles in Japan for July, excluding minivehicles and imported cars.
