Camera & Autograph Night Headlines SSP for Sunday Night
NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (August 3, 2005) – This Sunday night, August 7, it will
be Camera & autograph Night at the Susquehanna Speedway Park featuring the
Trail Motors Super Sportsman Series along with the Silver Spring Street Stocks,
the Four Cylinders and a Road Warrior Construction Race. All fans will have
the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers with their cars on the
frontstretch before the feature events. The raindate will be Sunday, August 14,
if necessary.
Gates open in the pit area and grandstands at 5:00 p.m. Warm-ups begin at
7:00 p.m. with racing beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m. Grandstand ticket
prices are Adults (18 & older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children (6-12)
$4.00; and Children (5 & under) are free.
SSP continues its Repeat Fan Discount in which there will be a $2.00
discount for each person on August 7 with a ticket stub from the July 24 or August 4
events only. Returning fans are encouraged to write their name, address
and phone number on the back of the stub to be entered into special drawings
during the season for great prizes. Last season, the grand prize was two
tickets for the October NASCAR race at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte,
North Carolina. Pit pass prices are $20.00 with a reduced price of $18.00 for
all track license holders.
The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles
NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south. For more information,

- The Super Sportsman at SSP culminates with the Inaugural 75-lap Trail
Motors Championship on Sunday, September 4, paying $2,500 to the winner. For the
championship race, there will be 12 automatic qualifiers for the event
determined by the winners of the following events: 1) Silver Spring (Sat., May 28 –
Craig Morrow); 2) SSP (Sun., May 29 – Russ Mitten); 3) SSP (Sun., June 5 –
Dave Calaman); 4) Port Royal (Wed., June 15 - Pat Cannon); 5) SSP (Sun.,
June 19 – Rich Eichelberger); 6) Williams Grove (Fri., June 24 – Danny
Hager); 7) Silver Spring (Sat., July 2 – Billy Schoffstall); 8) SSP (Sun., July 3 –
Frankie Herr); 9) Lincoln (Wed., July 20 – Carmen Perigo Jr.); 10) SSP
(Sun., July 24 – Gregg Foster); 11) SSP (Sun., Aug. 7); 12) SSP (Sun., Aug. 21).
The remainder of the field for the championship will qualify through heats
and a last chance race. All Trail Motors Super Sportsman Series events at SSP
will require the use of Hoosier Tires on all four corners with a Hoosier
105/18-15 plated (HTMA or HTE) right rear spec tire.

- On Thursday night, August 11, SSP will host a Camera and Autograph night
featuring the return of the Topless Late Models along with the Xtreme Stock
Cars, XSC Rookie Rumble, and the EMMR Vintage Club Cars. All fans will have
the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers with their cars on the
frontstretch before the feature events. The topless Late Models will compete
exclusively under the rules of the Silver Springs Late Models
(_www.silverspringspeedway.com_ (http://www.silverspringspeedway.com/) ) with the Hoosier spec HTMA
tire used on all four corners. If needed, a rain date will be announced for
this event.
