Parts Dealer Announces NASCAR Busch Series Sponsorship; Kenny Wallace's No. 22 Car Makes Its Debut in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 4, 2005 -- AutoZone, Inc. will unveil the new AutoZone No. 22 car that will be driven in the NASCAR Busch Series by Kenny Wallace. The new AutoZone No. 22 car will be presented at the company's Store Support Center in Memphis at 3:45 PM (CDT) Thursday, August 4. Kenny Wallace will be in attendance for the unveiling. AutoZone's sponsorship of the No. 22 ppc Racing Ford Taurus begins with the Busch race this Saturday, August 6, at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

AutoZone began its partnership with NASCAR two years ago when the company became the title sponsor of the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Series which is where the future stars of NASCAR train. "The Elite Division was a good first step for AutoZone," said Rhodes. "Now we are ready to move to the front of the pack with ppc Racing and Kenny Wallace."
