DICK TRICKLE RACING AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE

SUNDAY, AUGUST 28

Racing Legend Competing In His Own Super Late Model

Milwaukee, Wis. (August 3, 2005) - Racing legend Dick Trickle returns to
The Milwaukee Mile to compete in the Sunday, August 28 Governor's Cup
Stock Car race, driving his own completely rebuilt racecar that he's
driven with great success in Wisconsin and throughout the Midwest.

The Wisconsin Rapids native now resides in Iron Station, NC, and remains
one of the most popular Badger State race drivers to achieve success in
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series racing. Trickle will race in the MARS Super
Late Model division. Over 60 cars are expected from a four state area
to challenge Trickle, who's won an estimated 1,200 short track stock car
races in his illustrious career.

The Super Late Model race is one of six scheduled over the Governor's
Cup weekend at The Milwaukee Mile, headlined by the return of the USAC
Valvoline National Sprint Car Series on Saturday, August 27, and a
200-mile NASCAR Autozone Elite Division, Midwest Series race on Sunday
afternoon.

Last year, Elko, Minnesota's Dan Fredrickson bested LaCrosse Fairgrounds
Speedway champion Charlie Menard and Slinger Super Speedway regular Eric
Fransen to the checkered flag in the Super Late Model event.

An expected 150-plus grass roots stock car racers in three additional
Governor's Cup stock car divisions will practice, qualify and race
August 26-28 at The 'Mile.

"We are fortunate to have an icon like Dick Trickle racing his own
racecar again at The Milwaukee Mile," commented Gary Girard, Milwaukee
Mile general manager. "He'll be right at home competing on a weekend
with NASCAR Midwest Series, USAC National Sprint Cars and grass roots
stock car racers from across the Midwest. This is certainly going to be
one great destination weekend for race fans."

Trickle is expected to take full advantage of two Friday afternoon,
August 26 practice sessions. Friday tickets are affordably priced at
$5. Tickets to the USAC Sprint Cars, NASCAR qualifying and Governor's
Cup Stock Car races on Saturday range from $10 to $20. Sunday's packed
on-track schedule offers a 40-lap Governor's Cup SuperTruck Series
feature, the 50-lap MARS Super Late Model feature and the 200-lap NASCAR
Midwest Series main event. The best seat on Sunday is priced at $25.

Always a Milwaukee Mile fan-favorite, Trickle won four of the 22
American Speed Association races he competed in at The Milwaukee Mile
between 1978 and 2000. His best finish in six NASCAR Busch Series
starts at The 'Mile was in 1984, when he started on the pole position
and finished third behind race winner Sam Ard and the late NASCAR
champion Alan Kulwicki, a Milwaukee native.

Details will be released in the near future on a special Dick Trickle
race fan autograph session on race weekend.
