American Suzuki July Sales Up 14 Percent

BREA, Calif.--Aug. 2, 2005--American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) continues its strong sales growth, posting a 14 percent increase in July 2005 sales compared to the same month last year. ASMC sold 7,125 units for the month, notching a 7 percent increase for calendar year 2005, to date.

This month's sales mark ASMC's best July since 1988. The top-selling Forenza models achieved a noteworthy 91 percent increase this month, posting a 65 percent increase year to date.

"We are encouraged by the sales growth of the Forenza vehicles and have high expectations for our entire product line," said Koichi Suzuki, president of American Suzuki's Automotive Operations. "With a strong summer sales campaign and the launch of an all-new SUV in late summer, we expect strong sales for the rest of 2005."

Contributing to Suzuki's sales is a rapidly expanding product line featuring the versatile 2005 Suzuki Forenza Wagon and five-door compact 2005 Suzuki Reno. Continuing the success, an all-new 2006 SUV is set to arrive at dealerships in late summer. These products, combined with the growing network of almost 540 U.S. dealers and America's #1 Warranty, Suzuki's industry-leading, 100,000-mile, seven-year, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty, continue to strengthen the Suzuki brand.
