INDIANAPOLIS – The Oklahoma Ford Focus Midget Car Series, idle since
Memorial Day weekend, returns to action this weekend at I-44 Speedway in
Oklahoma City for the first time.
The quarter-mile dirt track will hold preliminary action Friday with a
30-lap feature scheduled for Saturday.
Jasiel Randolph of Tulsa, Okla., who still seeks his first victory in the
series, leads the Oklahoma points standings by two over Dustin Morgan, a
two-time victor this season. Evan Sewell, the last winner in Oklahoma
competition, sits nine points behind Randolph.
Leon Bacon of Broken Arrow, Okla., who won Thursday’s special non-points
50-lapper at the Belleville High Banks quarter-mile, led all but the first
two tours in the No. 2B Tel-Star Communications CKC/Ford Focus.
