MIDWEST FOCUS MIDGETS MAKE WAY TO KOKOMO SUNDAY NIGHT

INDIANAPOLIS – The Midwest Ford Focus Midget Car Series, fresh off its first
weekend break from action since mid-June, continues competition Sunday with
a 30-lap race on the quarter-mile Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Ind.

It will be the first visit by the Midwest Ford Focus Midgets to the revamped
dirt track, which features increased banking and a wider racing surface.

Defending Midwest champion Tate Martz of Rushville, Ind. continues to
dominate the series as the points leader and winningest driver. He leads
Stephanie Mockler by 101 points with seven races remaining.

Leon Bacon of Broken Arrow, Okla. won Thursday’s special non-points
50-lapper at the Belleville High Banks quarter-mile, leading all but the
first two tours in the No. 2B Tel-Star Communications CKC/Ford Focus.
