Ford Continues "Family" Deal Through Labor Day
DEARBORN, Mich., August 1, 2005 - Ford, Lincoln and Mercury are announcing an extension of its highly successful "Ford Family Plan" employee discount pricing through Labor Day. Customers in the more than 4,000 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury showrooms across the U.S. will continue to be eligible to receive the Ford employee discounted price on 2005 model cars, trucks and SUVs as well as a select group of 2006 models.
"The Ford Family Plan has been a tremendous success in July," says Steve Lyons, Ford group vice president, North America Marketing, Sales and Service. "Many Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars, trucks and SUVs will show record sales this month, we significantly reduced our inventory of 2005 models and, importantly, our customers and dealers tell us they like the easy-to-understand pricing."
The plan remains simple to understand and is being enhanced to include more eligible vehicles. Select 2006 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products will join the Ford Family Plan and be offered at employee discount pricing. 2006 models available at employee discount pricing include Ford Escape, Ford Expedition, Ford Super Duty trucks (F-250 and F-350 series), Ford Econoline vans, Mercury Mariner and Lincoln Navigator.
"We decided to enhance the Ford Family Plan by including some 2006 model year products already in dealer showrooms," explains Lyons. "Customers are excited about these products, and adding them to the program will ensure we maintain sales momentum."
