Second podium of the weekend for Pritiko

July 31, 2005
Matt Pritiko podiums at Honda Crystal Cup on Sunday

SHANNONVILLE, ONTARIO London, Ontario racer Matt Pritiko completed his
busy weekend racing at two different tracks, in two different events with
a podium in the Formula Senior race at the Honda Crystal Cup in
Shannonville, Ontario.

"We were a little behind because we only arrived here this morning," said
Pritiko after his third place finish in the final.

Pritiko had won a 'bear' at Mosport on Saturday at Mosport, then loaded up
his First Kart and made the trek to Shannonville for Sunday's Honda Crystal
Cup. "We didn't realize there was a different tire in use here," Pritiko
said. "Once we knew that and made the change, we were right on the pace,"
he added.

Because of the late tire change, Pritiko had to start at the back of the
Formula Senior final, and he drove a strong race to finish third, nose to
tail behind the top two.

"I just needed one more lap," Pritiko said. "I was really happy with the
First Kart. It responded to the new tires well, and if the race had been a
little longer, I think the result would have been a little different."

With a bear, and a third, it was a highly successful first weekend for
Pritiko aboard his new First Kart, and he is looking forward to the rest of
the year. "This change has really excited our whole team the rest of the
year should be fun."
