McClenathan drops close race at Infineon Raceway

SONOMA, Calif. (July 31, 2005) - After qualifying No. 6 at the 18th
annual NHRA FRAM Autolite Nationals, Cory McClenathan driver of the
Carrier Boyz Racing FRAM AirHog Top Fuel dragster, dropped a close race
in the second round at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.

Taking the left lane in the opening round, McClenathan left first and
never looked back. He turned on his win light in 4.552 seconds at
324.75 mph, while "Hot" Rod Fuller followed in 4.766 seconds.
McClenathan moved to round two against Larry Dixon.

For McClenathan, it was an old fashion drag race against Dixon, who took
the win. It was side-by-side down the Infineon Raceway quarter-mile
with Dixon (4.586/329.02) edging Cory Mac (4.599/323.58) by six
hundredth of a second.

"I don't like losing any race," said McClenathan. "It was a good
side-by-side race. That makes it a little bit easier to accept. Today,
Dixon had the better car.

"I know all the folks from FRAM, Autolite, Prestone and Bendix had a
good weekend at the FRAM Autolite Nationals. I hope you will come back
and see the FRAM AirHog dragster at every chance. There are still a lot
of wins left in this car.

"Todd (Smith) and Bob (Bauer) have this Carrier Boyz Racing car running
consistently again. My thanks to them and the crew for their hard work
this weekend. Now it's some time off, then on to Brainerd."

Unofficially, McClenathan ends the "Western Swing" and leaves the FRAM
Autolite Nationals No. 9 in the POWERade point standings. He now has
740 points.
