Drag Racing Charity Auction Raises More Than $8,000

 

SONOMA, Calif. (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - More than $8,000 was raised for
qualified youth organizations on Sunday at Infineon Raceway during the
3rd annual Drag Racing Charity Auction.

 

The auction, which was held in the Winner's Circle during the FRAM
Autolite NHRA Nationals weekend, generated $8,210, with all proceeds
benefiting qualified youth organizations in Sonoma County through
Speedway Children's Charities.

 

Forty-five items were up for bid, with a helmet signed by a number of
NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series stars including Joe Amato, Kenny
Bernstein and John Force netting the top amount of $2,500. A separate
helmet signed by all members of John Force Racing, including Force,
Robert Hight and Eric Medlen fetched another $1,000.

 

The auction has raised more than $19,000 over the three years for
Speedway Children's Charities.
