OKRA GrandNationals sends home six more 'bears'
MOSPORT, ONTARIO The second day of the OKRA GrandNationals produced some
of the best races of the weekend, including the much anticipated debut of
the Cameron Motorsports F1-K karts that debuted in fine form in a 30 minute
enduro at the end of the day.
Formula Senior kicked off the day, and it was Daniel Morad on the front row
with Matt Pritiko beside him. Pritiko jumped off the start to take the lead
and held it to the checkered flag to capture his first 'bear'. Behind him
came Morad and Jesse Labbe. Marco Di Leo and Rene Silva enjoyed a race
long spirited battle with Di Leo coming out on top for fourth, and Silva
settled for fifth.
Garrett Grist led from flag-to-flag to take the bear in Novice. Grist built
a lead from the first lap and won by a 22 second margin. Second went to
Lucas Panzica and rounding out the podium war Nicholas Waring. Fourth was
Austin Milwain and Gio Pizzaierhead finished fifth.

2.2 seconds over Dylan Gibson, who came from sixth on the first lap to
finish second. Wes Calaguiro rounded out the podium, while Scott Laporte
was fourth and Addison Rayner was fifth.

flag, while Adriano Bilotta, who started last worked his way through the

have his exhaust come off and be black flagged. As a result Corey Usher
finished second and Wilson Tessari Neto was third. Andrew Deaves and Steve
Auger rounded out the top five.

Pelletier took the early lead, and then was overhauled by David Ostella,
who went on to win. Pelletier finished second, and Michael Vincec, who went
to the back on the first lap after an off course incident came back to
finish third, just ahead of Alex Labbe. Steven Mathews was fifth.
The final race of the day was the F1-K enduro, which featured the
arrive-and-drive karts from Cameron Motorsports. After an incredible battle
at the front , Sal Ditta, who has taken this year off karting to
concentrate on his landscape company Greenblock Property Services, and
Marco Di Leo beat the team from Canadian Karting News with drivers Frank
Launi and Daniel Morad by six-tenths of a second. 2004 SRFKC Formula Senior
champ Mike Roth and Eric Gerrits were third, just 2.1 seconds behind the
leaders. Rounding out the top five was the teams of Kaitlyn Johnston and
