(517) 337-2600FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEGENTILOZZI WITHDRAWS FROM THE CYTOMAX SPORT DRINK 100 SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 30, 2005) Four-time Trans-Am series champion, Paul Gentilozzi withdrew from the today’s running of the inaugural Cytomax Sport Drink 100. Gentilozzi was scheduled to make his 203rd career start when the green flag dropped today. In 2005, the Michigan native has a win (Toronto-his 30th career victory) and a pole (Edmonton).“This year I am focusing on the Champ Car World Series cars that we field, not running for the Trans-Am championship,” said the Trans-Am series’ all-time wins leader. “In Trans-Am our goal is for Klaus (Graf) or Tomy (Drissi) to win not me. This weekend we were short a few crew members who weren’t able to make the trip and for me to run we would be taking resources away from the No. 5 and No. 7 cars.” The Cytomax Sport Drink 100 is schedule for today at 7:00 pm Eastern Time. You can watch the taped-delayed excitement from San Jose on Sunday, August 7th on SPEED Channel at 12:30 pm Eastern time.-RSR-
