Hayes Lemmerz Montague Named Foundry of the Year
NORTHVILLE, Mich., July 29 -- Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. announced that its Operations in Montague, Michigan, has been named the recipient of the MODERN CASTING magazine 2005 Foundry of the Year Award. The facility is featured in the publication's July 2005 issue.
The MODERN CASTING Foundry of the Year Award is presented annually to a North American metalcasting facility that has demonstrated engineering expertise to advance the capabilities of the metalcasting industry. Also earlier this year, the American Foundry Society (AFS) awarded its 2005 Plant Engineering Award to the Company's Montague Operations for its Vacuum Riserless Casting/Pressure Riserless Casting (VRC/PRC) technology.
Hayes Lemmerz' Montague Operations provide suspension components to OEMs worldwide. The facility's product line includes intake and exhaust manifolds, steering knuckles, crossmembers, control arms, and subframes.
