ADP Dealer Services Achieves Double Milestone With Its Next Generation DMS and ASP Managed Services
-- Each system now supports more than 100,000 users --
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., July 28 -- Leading the industry with an evolutionary technology system that helps automotive and truck dealerships manage the day-to-day operations of their dealerships, The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. today announced milestones for both its w.e.b.Suite(TM)2005 dealer management system (DMS) and its ASP Managed Services solution. Both w.e.b.Suite2005 and ASP Managed Services each have more than 100,000 users.
"We announced our w.e.b.Suite2000 more than three years ago and know how discriminating dealers are when it comes to choosing next generation technology solutions for their stores," said Steve Anenen, president of ADP Dealer Services. "That's just one reason we're so excited and proud of having more than 108,000 users on w.e.b.Suite2005, and more than 103,000 users on ASP Managed Services. It certainly validates our evolutionary strategy and conviction."
w.e.b.Suite2005 Delivers
Targeted to improve the performance of every department in a dealership, w.e.b.Suite2005 builds upon ADP's successful w.e.b.Suite2000 DMS. Raising the performance bar for all DMS solutions, w.e.b.Suite2005 delivers to users a fully integrated Web-enabled DMS that offers fast, easy access to critical dealership management information. ADP launched w.e.b.Suite2005 at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention in January.
With intuitive, dealer-proven technology, w.e.b.Suite2005 enables dealerships to control daily tasks through desktop applications that are customized for each department leader. For instance, the executive desktop, exclusive to w.e.b.Suite2005, helps dealer principals monitor business across all departments by displaying the key data needed to make important business decisions - on a single screen.
w.e.b.Suite2005 also equips dealers to receive up-to-date, comprehensive customer information displayed on a single screen, for easy access during customer interactions. And real-time capability gives every employee the information they need, from data on sales orders to service requests, as soon as they need it.
w.e.b.Suite2005 is fully developed and supported by ADP, and integrates with ADP's other Web-Enabled business applications, such as ADP's Network Phone telephony solution and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Any dealer can migrate from his or her current system to w.e.b.Suite2005 with minimal business disruption.
"This year, we nearly doubled the number of clients using our core Web-enabled DMS - not just individual front-end applications - to a base of more than 108,000 users, at dealerships of all sizes," said Anenen. "Additionally, seven of the ten largest dealer consolidators opted to engage a single-source DMS provider - and six chose ADP. This shows that the marketplace responds to cutting-edge, dealer-proven technology and that it trusts ADP to deliver it best."
More than 100,000 users trust ASP Managed Services
ADP offers a real-time, complete, secure ASP solution for application hosting, Internet and application access, network services, and single-provider support - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the past year, ADP grew its ASP managed network base by approximately 50 percent, to more than 103,000 users at 2600 sites.
ASP Managed Services enables dealerships to outsource their day-to-day system administration responsibilities to one of two ADP-run, state-of-the-art data storage facilities. Both facilities deploy the latest automated system-backup technology to protect data and both are SAS 70 certified. This internationally recognized auditing standard demonstrates exceptional internal process controls and the highest level of commitment to operational excellence.
"ASP reduces a dealer's investment risk. Dealers don't have to invest in new server technology every three years to handle new business applications," said Anenen. "We also eliminate IT headaches because we manage and maintain the dealer's core DMS server in ADP's data centers."
"Our Web-enabled DMS and ASP Managed Services are powerful technology tools that help dealers sell more cars, parts and service profitably," added Anenen. "When we announced our Next Generation suite in 2002 we promised to evolve and deliver, and I'm proud to say we've kept that promise to our dealers."
