TOMOS-USA JOINS ROCKETSPORTS RACING

ROCKETSPORTS BRINGS NEW INTERNATIONAL SPONSOR, TOMOS-USA, 
TO THE CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIESLANSING, Mich. (July 27, 2005) Rocketsports Racing would like to introduce TOMOS USA as their official supplier of paddock transportation. TOMOS USA has signed on to support Rocketsports Racings efforts in the Bridgestone Present the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford and the Trans-Am series. TOMOS USA is a division of international company Hidria whose products ranges from scooters and motorcycles less than 125 cc, power tools to diesel engine components. This is the company’s first venture into the world of motorsports.TOMOS USA is a US based subsidiary of TOMOS, which is part of Hidria Corporation, a large multiple division European holding company with manufacturing facilities in Slovenia (4), Holland, Mexico (discontinued in 2003) and Ecuador and a total employment force of 3,500. The long established TOMOS European Operations Division (600 employees) is the manufacturing source for TOMOS brand vehicles which account for approximately 80% of 2-wheel moped sales worldwide, primarily in US, Holland, Canada, Caribbean, Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany and Slovenia. In addition sales are conducted in the UK and Japan. TOMOS brand name vehicles and genuine parts have been sold in the US and Canada since 1977. Since 1999 they’ve been sold through Tomos USA a division of Hidria USA Inc. a North American subsidiary of Hidria Corporation. In 2005, the race winning team fields Cosworth powered Lola’s for Rookie-of-the-Year contender, Timo Glock and veteran Ryan Hunter-Reay. Rocketsports history is deep in North America’s longest running road racing series; Trans-Am. Owner Paul Gentilozzi is a four-time Trans-Am champion and hold the all-time wins record with 30 victories. “We are pleased to have an international company like TOMOS, who is aware of the benefits of Champ Car, join the Rocketsports team,” said Gentilozzi. “TOMOS will receive extensive exposure as we visit different markets around the world. With our attendance and television rating continuing to rise, TOMOS is sure to benefit. The Revival TS moped is a smooth ride and will help us get around the paddock quickly as our daily schedules are full.”Rocketsports will take their TOMOS mopeds to the streets of San Jose, California for the inaugural San Jose Grand Prix featuring both the Champ Car World Series and the Trans-Am series. Watch Glock in the No. 8 DHL Global Mail Lola and Hunter-Reay in the No. 31 Cytomax Lola navigate the street of San Jose on SPEED Channel, Sunday July 31st at 5:00 pm Eastern time. The Trans-Am cars participate in the Cytomax 100, Saturday July 30th, and will air on a tape-delayed basis Sunday August 7th at 12:30 pm Eastern on SPEED TV.
